Terms of service
Effective October 10, 2026
The Domain Is Yours is run by BPTF LLC, 6650 Rivers Ave, Ste 100, Charleston, SC 29406 ("we", "us"). These terms cover the domain setup service we offer by email. If anything here is unclear, ask: anderson@thedomainisyours.com.
What we do
- We register the domain names you choose from our offer, in your name, at Dynadot, an ICANN-accredited registrar. The first year of registration is included.
- If you have a current website or page, we point the new domain at it (a redirect). If you ask, we set up email addresses on the domain that forward to an inbox you already use.
- We don't build or host websites.
- Nothing is registered before you pay, and the domain is registered to you, not to us.
- You can register any of these names yourself at any registrar. Our fee is for doing the work.
Price and payment
- You pay the price in your payment link, which is the price in our offer email: a flat price per name, with each extra name in the same order costing less.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your purchase is sold through Link, Stripe's payment service, which collects any sales tax that applies, sends your receipt, and shows on your card statement as LINK.COM*.
- Each payment link can be paid once and stops working 14 days after we send it. Ask and we'll send a new one.
Ownership and your registration
- You are the registrant, the owner of record, from the moment the domain is registered. The registration uses the name, email and address you give at checkout; keeping them accurate is a registrar and ICANN requirement.
- Dynadot will email you to verify your contact details. Click that link within 15 days, or the domain is suspended until you do.
- Your registration is also governed by Dynadot's registration agreement and ICANN's policies, including the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy. You are responsible for making sure the name doesn't infringe anyone else's trademark. We screen our suggestions for well-known marks, but we can't promise a name will never be disputed.
While we look after it
- Unless you ask otherwise, the domain stays in our Dynadot account with you as the registrant. We keep its redirect and email forwarding working and keep it set to renew.
- You can have it moved to you at any time, at no charge from us: we push it into your own Dynadot account, or, from 60 days after registration (an ICANN rule), send you a transfer code to take it to any registrar. The registrar you move it to may charge its own transfer fee.
- We never hold a domain hostage. If we ever stop offering this service, we will move every domain to its owner, or send its transfer code, first.
Renewal
- After the first year, renewal is $19 per name per year. We email you at least 30 days before the renewal date.
- If you don't want to renew, tell us, and we'll move the domain to you or let it expire at the end of its term, whichever you prefer.
- If a renewal isn't paid, we keep the domain registered for at least 30 days after the renewal date while we try to reach you, and we offer to move it to you. After that we may let it expire.
Refunds
- If we can't register a name you paid for (because someone else registered it, or the registry made it a premium name, before we could), we refund that order in full.
- If you change your mind before we've registered the domain, we refund in full. We usually register within a day of payment.
- A registration can't be undone, so once a domain is registered we don't refund it. If something we set up doesn't work and we can't fix it, we refund our fee for it.
Our responsibility
- We do the work with reasonable care. Redirects and email forwarding run on the registrar's systems, and we can't promise they will never be interrupted.
- As far as the law allows, our total liability for anything to do with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost business.
Email from us
We send one offer and at most one follow-up. Reply STOP, or use the unsubscribe link, and you won't hear from us again. Our privacy policy explains what we keep.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in effect when you paid applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina.
